Restricted Access
'No Climbing' signs have recently been erected around the quarry following many years of unrestricted access. The BMC has attempted to contact the landowner (the Crown Estate) multiple times to discuss access but we have had no reply to date. If climbing in the quarry and approached by a representative of the landowner, please ask for contact details and pass them on the the access team at the BMC.
Eliminate problem that’s worthwhile for locals seeking mileage and not much else. See attached picture for the holds.
Starting with your left and right foot on polished but okay edges, left hand in a small undercut and right hand in another small undercut, pull on and reach up with your left hand into a small sandstone-esque hold, from here pull through to the obvious sharp jug above with your right hand, match and drop off.
