Restricted Access
'No Climbing' signs have recently been erected around the quarry following many years of unrestricted access. The BMC has attempted to contact the landowner (the Crown Estate) multiple times to discuss access but we have had no reply to date. If climbing in the quarry and approached by a representative of the landowner, please ask for contact details and pass them on the the access team at the BMC.
Eliminate problem, only worth doing if you’re local and after some nearby mileage. See attached picture for holds.
Description; starting with you left foot on the polished point within a crack, right foot on a polished incut edge, left hand decent edge and right hand in a sharp(ish) undercut - from here swing leftwards into the sandstone-esque left hand hold before shuffling up your right foot to the decent ledge and swing for the positive jug on the top of the ‘shield’ feature with your right hand, match and drop off.
