Rockfax Description
Brilliant but testing crack climbing that has plenty of gear. The initial thin crack opens up and then shuts down again, forcing a difficult step out right. Thereafter tackle the thinner cracks to easier ground at the diagonal break. © Rockfax

βeta: Such a delightful pitch and really great rock and gear. Tough for the grade, though it's all on your feet. Lovely, absorbing and delicate, technical granite crack climbing on smears and fingerlocks, unique within the Lakes. 3 stars. Low E1 5b? Be careful with belays, as there are several blocks that look solid but are loose: not only the obvious bowling ball, but also some blocks that form obvious nut/cam slots. | βeta? | |
