βeta: Unlike the routes on the main buttress, the route length (100m) in the 2012 FRCC guide, is accurate and 60m ropes to seek out a belay, are not an advantage. Like most of the II and IIIs on the crag, the harder steps can usually be avoided, if turf not fully frozen. Even in very poor visibility, when on the 2nd tier, the danger of mistakenly getting on the top pitch of Two Grooves (VI) is low, as that is such a distinctive pitch !
