UKC

40m.

Rockfax Description
6c, S2. A fantastic expedition. Check the water depth below the lip before starting. Make a long traverse to below the roof rail. Climb up to and out along the rail to the lip. A contorted move gains the flat top. © Rockfax

UKC Logbook Description
The start of the route from the low level ledge has all fallen into the sea so the initial upwards part of the route has changed significantly. Can probably still climb in from the left had side to gain the horizontal break but haven't tried.

FSA. Mike Robertson 19/May/1995.

βeta: I've uploaded a photo of the current state of the rockfall. It is potentially possible to gain the hanging wall and flake from the left. The barely submerged (on a big high!) tip of the boulder doesn't look to be below climbing but the rest of the boulder definitely reduces depth at the point where you would be gaining the roof flake. Pre-inspect the landing, make your own assessment, and be very careful!

βeta: The start of the route has fallen into the sea. The horizontal break remains but unsure of how difficult it is to get to and whether the safety of the beginning of the route is compromised by the boulders now in the sea below. Be careful!

βeta: Absolutely crazy yet technically simple climbing on massive holds. One of the best DWS around.
