This tasty bit of climbing can be combined with the start of Scar to give a good variation line up the cliff for HVS leaders (VS leaders may find the crux a bit stiff!). Continue up right of the decaying tree for a bit more variation from the usual line of NoS.
Post crux, as an alternative to rejoining NoS, a rather contrived (but good) sequence heads diagonally rightwards across the undercut slab using sharp pockets to link into the top of the blocky rake of Tantalus (suggested E1 5c), finish as for that climb.
