Approach notes

There is very limited parking just outside of Yealand Conyers on the sharp bend on the road (Peter Lane) which leads towards Leighton Hall. Park considerately and do not block the gate. The Crag can be reached in just over ten minutes from this point.

Take the footpath through the small step stile/gate heading north-west, which keeps fairly level above Yealand Manor. Enter a large open pasture and at the far end turn left (signed Deep Dale) passing over a step stile and up a short stone staircase into woodland. Head straight on to a small gate/opening in a stone wall - the crag is immediately ahead and below at this point - but follow the path round to the left as it descends into Deepdale. The path soon veers back right and after 25m the crag becomes visible. Leave the path and head across/up the slope to reach the climbs. Descents can be made by scrmabling down the broken sections or using the cleft of Deep Throat. The first climbs are found where the crag rises to a reasonable height. Most of the crag is about 6 or 7m high.
