βeta: This was my consolation after backing off Northumberland Wall (I found the start too bold without RPs..), and what a route. Really worth its weight in stars, ok, well, lets say 3.... At times it's very awkward, tricky to fiddle gear in, and quite physical. Yet, just as it leans back at the top and the breath is able to relax, the hard climbing kicks in. Sketchy feet, thin crimps, and reachy, it's no pushover, especially in the heat. For some reason (maybe I shud ask my parents?) I actually like this sort of thing, but the hardest moves still felt harder than anything to be found on 'The Pillar'. | ||
