Naomi.P 12 May, 2019 AltLd O/S Bad time. Couldn’t find the start or the finish. Dodgy scramble up to probably the wrong ledge. Went up and looked at the corner and the way to it was a featureless slimy slab overhung by the pinnacle. Would have had to climb in to the chockstone corner, udge body up then somehow stand on the slippery slab and extricate my upper body from the crack. Went around to another ledge and a walk behind the pinnacle to the corner. Corner was dirty and difficult to protect. Rope drag was bad. Belayed early and set Eloise off on the ‘top’ pitch. Looked like a horrible steep wide crack so sent her up the severe above. She didn’t fancy it so we swapped and I did it. Poorly protected 4b doesn’t feel hugely like severe to me but that’s a critisicm for another route. I’m usually up for a classic struggle but regretted this. Should have climbed better things back in ‘the day’ if they want them repeated.

Karlos 21 Mar, 2009 Lead O/S Initial crack looked pretty hard for a VDiff, but was lovely and secure in the end. Again, the slanting chimney looked challenging but was fine in the end, and felt wonderfully exposed. The green chimney of the second pitch was hard and polished. The final arete looked a little easy, so I headed off to the right across a steep slab traverse, making it up as I went. Made a really nice finish.
