UKC

120m, 4 pitches. The easiest means of ascent, but quite serious in places so should only be attempted by competent parties. 4 pitches including a lot of scrambling. The route takes a spiral line from the NW corner of the pinnacle, around the the east, finishing back on the north side. Start from the north side of the base of the pinnacle, by a fixed rope. P1 Scramble along the fixed line to its end. P2 Walk left behind a pinnacle and climb the wall above to a ledge immediately right of the base of the wide chimney. Bolt belay. P3 4c. Scramble up the chimney to left side of the steepening. Make some tricky moves up the corner on the left then move up into the notch. Bolt belay. P4 4b. Step through the notch and descend for 5m. Traverse left easily to a corner and climb this to the summit. Bolt belay over the top in a gulley above the notch. Abseil back to the base from here (70m abseil).
