Rockfax Description
An airy pitch up the wall above the Kipling Groove overlap that requires a confident approach. High in the grade.
1) 10m. Make an easy traverse leftwards to a stance and belay just below the long band of overhangs - as for Kipling Groove.
2) 5c, 35m. Follow Kipling Groove until midway along the traverse under the overhang and make a committing pull over it to an easing (this section is shared with Midnight Movie - p.109). Climb intricately up the open groove above and move left to join Kipling Groove. Move up, then left, to a small perch. Ascend the groove and wall to the right to meet a horizontal break just below the top. Finish leftwards along the break. © Rockfax
UKC Logbook Description
Make a hard, reachy moves to overcome the roof at its centre. Climb above delicately on adequate gear until a traverse left to the arete can be made and into the groove of Kipling Groove. Leave that line immediately by moving further left on exposed moves (finishing up/right on Kipling Groove is a cowardly escape) to reach and stand on top of a protruding pedestal. Climb easily up and left to belay at a large ledge with a block and abseil point.
