Andy Stewart2 15 Sep, 2018 AltLd Climbed in mistake for Red Wall- not the first! Pitch 1 looks more attractive anyway. Trundled some blocks piled at the base of the corner on pitch2. Looks like they peeled away fairly recently. Absorbing climbing requiring care.. E4 is a fair grade

papashango 19 Sep, 2015 AltLd O/S P2, couldn't agree with easy E4, significantly harder than Rapture, Cannibal, Blue Remembered, Redshift, Fantasia... (having said that it was a very hot day.) A quality pitch, one of the best I've done in the UK.

Misha u 14 Sep, 2013 AltLd O/S Second of two quality routes on Red Wall on a beautiful blue sky day. Neil did P1 up the weirdly eroded 3D quartz band, was really enjoyable. I got the main pitch, which started off easily but soon picked up the tempo and didn't really relent till the top, though there were some good rests. Steep and not much gear in places but mostly pretty solid. The first peg is best not tested... Got a bit concerned above this peg as thought I was off route, moved right but realised that would get me onto Rapture of the Deep so in the end did a few steep moves up and left into a large right facing corner, which was the right way to go (the Gogarth South script says move up and right from the peg, should say up and left into the corner!). Some technical bridging up the corner on funky rock (a few sandy bits but avoidable) lead to a junction with Blue Remembered Hills (deja vu for a few metres) before an independent finish up a groove on the right. Not quite sure about the grade for this one, depends how good some of the gear actually is - most wasn't that bad but it was a bit run out even with the questionable pieces in! Top end E3 or easy E4. A good Red Wall experience, especially when there was no chalk (or polish!!!) to follow.
