Restricted Access
The rock varies in character from typically quarried on the lower tier through to more abrasive rock on the upper tier where blasting has uncovered large tracts of calcite-encrusted rock which almost feels like natural limestone. As with most quarries, extra vigilance needs to be exercised by both climber and belayer here given the blasting activity which has created potential for loose rock.
Don't swim in the bright blue toxic pool (as if you needed telling)!

βeta: The ground below the route is treacherous. My son led the route 10th August. I did it on top rope but while waiting for a friend who failed my foot slipped between two rocks, I fell and broke my wrist. In the urgency to get me to hospital they left the quickdraws in situ. If a kind person is wondering who to return all the gear to please phone me on 07979314223. | βeta? | |

βeta: Looks like there's been a pretty big rock fall between 3rd and 4th bolts. Still a lot of lose stuff in there. It is avoidable but I wouldn't want to be nearby when more of it comes out. A few other wobbly holds higher up as well. Shame because a lot of the combing is very pleasant | βeta? | |
