βeta: Gave this a try today and all was going well...until I heard the sound of sliding rock and felt the pressure beneath my right foot diminish. I looked down in time to see a large slab of rock land next to my belayer with an almighty thud. Had it of been 40-50cm to the left no helmet would have saved Jim (and consequently no belayer would have had me!). I'm not sure if the slab above the new void is that safe either... | βeta? | |
