Rockfax Description
Climb the bulge and slab to below the arete and climb it direct. An easier 6a+ variation moves up the corner on the right of the arete for a short way before pulling left to gain the arete. © Rockfax
UKC Logbook Description
Two variations exist. The best is to follow the slab to the break at the foot of the arête, commit and follow it direct by some fine moves. (6cish).
The easiest, and a good warm-up, is to follow the slab to the foot of the groove on the right (taken in its upper part by the variation to Ash Tree Groove). Step up the groove for several metres and then swing out left to the arête (6a+).

βeta: This should be changed to the easier (6a+) grade, it’s a cracking route and deserves some attention but the current (6c) grade probably puts off quite a few people. Routes are climbed the easiest way possible not the hardest. | βeta? | |
