βeta: If approaching from Ailefroide, camptocamp suggests going over Col de Costa Rouge. The glacier has receded leaving a bonus step at the bottom. The Sélé guardian said that nowadays it's more normal to go over Col de la Temple and then under the west ridge of Pic de la Temple. ~6hrs from Pré de Madame Carle to the bottom of the face.
