Please refrain from climbing outside

Due to the ongoing spread of Covid-19, please abstain from climbing outside.

At UKC we are all climbers and we understand the strong urge to be outdoors as the weather is finally improving, but we feel this is no longer socially acceptable. You can read our statement here.

We have suspended the UKC Logbooks Top Ascents and Conditions pages and we will no longer accept ascents dated from 23rd March onwards. You can still upload your historic ascents.

25m. The left hand line of bolts in the larger, steeply overhanging cave right of the smaller crag. Follow the obvious diagonal crack until the bolt line leads left onto the slightly overhanging headwall. A tricky, fingery sequence (crux) leads to the crack system in the wall above. 10 bolts.

Cal B. Abbot 20 Jul, 2019 Lead RP First ascent of a stunning line, couldn't resist trying it! Didn't log it for a while out of concern about the response to a bolted route in an area such as this but these routes seem not to have caused too much controversy so decided just to own it. Really good sustained climbing into a short fingery crux makes coming up with a grade difficult but it's probably in the mid to high 7s. Having got on the boulders in the area the grading felt a bit on the soft side to me so have given this 7c to keep in line with that so it will probably feel a little soft at the grade. Hopefully with the routes now on UKC there will soon be more concensus to really get an idea.
