A good pitch with poor protection to start. Start in the centre of the wall and climb up rightwards on good, but hollow sounding holds to a sapling in a groove. Traverse left for 3m to a crack which is followed to the top. Abseil from the tree belay.

βeta: Now there are esoteric routes and then there’s this one. It might appeal to someone who likes long unpathed, vegetated, loose walk ins. But once you get there and you look up at it, you realise that you’ve made a big mistake and should probably turn around. If you do get on it, be prepared for low e1 climbing. Move the moss off good crimps and out of cracks for gear. Once you do get to the top the tree is dead, so you need to find another one. Don’t bother walking off, try to abseil through the bushes. Trying not to chuck the ropes in the river. Once your on the ground, get ready for a horrible walk back to the car. If this doesn’t make you wanna go climb it, then I’ve done my job. | βeta? | |
