This challenge is based on the 'favourites' selection of routes graded Diff to Very Severe in Pete Saunders' South Devon Climbing Guide (2018, p504), CLIMBED IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER OF FIRST ASCENT.
Taking you to less obvious venues and travelling through time you retrace the journey of climbing development in the area. Authentic era clothing (and equipment) is optional!
With the exception of Radford Quarry (no access at present) the full list is included for exploration, though some, such as Hermeda, have suffered rock fall or under-use. We found other worthwhile routes nearby. Good luck...
