In winter, the trail is to the right of the mountain rescue building a couple of switchbacks up from the Tanigawajoch cable car station (the road will likely be blocked by snow after this point). The trail is usually well trodden and heads broadly NW up through the trees then turns W after a short while then SW. Keep climbing until you crest the ridge by an electricity pylon. From here follow the obvious Ridgeline over a series of ups and downs, some steep, to the summit. There can be some large cornices to the climber's left, so be careful.
On a clear day the views are superb and while technically easy, it feels much more exposed than the easy Tenjin Ridge. The route can be covered in very deep, soft snow so be aware that upwards progress may become extremely difficult.
