Rockfax Description
(Hair of the Dog) A long line that links cracks and grooves up the left edge of the tallest part of the cliff.
1) N6, 40m. Trend left into the groove and climb it to a stance.
2) N6, 50m. Continue up the groove (some pegs) then move left to a long crack. Climb this, then move left and back right to a bushy ramp and a belay on blocks 3m higher.
3) N4+, 40m. A continuation crack leads to easier ground where cracks and grooves lead to the large grass ledge (on Descent 2).
4) N6, 50m. Climb cracks past the right side of an overlap then trend right and climb the long crack to its epnd. Move left and back right to a ledge with blocks at the base of a groove.
5) N5+, 50m. Climb the groove, and its continuation to a wide crack which leads to a belay at a niche.
6) N5, 40m. A short crack leads to easy ground then the ridge.
6a) N5+ 25m. A variation finish can be had by moving right to a huge terrace, then climbing the crack in the final wall. © Rockfax
