βeta: An easier approach to the base of the route is to hike up the forestry road until you are more or less level with the base of the cliff then cut across . Matt found this while recovering the bag we had left at the bottom in anticipation of an abseil descent! this approach completely avoids the boulder fields, apparently. Skis (which could be parked on entering the forest) would speed this up a lot. | βeta? | |
