This is the great route up the centre of the wall put up by Brandler and Hasse in 1958 dedicated to the memory of Hermann Buhl. The great flake has gone since we did it. It is now graded VIII free and I know a British climber who has done it thus. At the time we did it it was mixed artificial and graded around the VI+ mark. I have no idea what the Western Alps grading for it is so have put at a guess ED2.
