17m. New route just right of The Flange.
Follows shallow corner groove and then direct up shallow vertical crack line above.
Follow April crack for 3.5m to horizontal break. Hand traverse left 1.5m and gain and follow the shallow corner above. Continue up the shallow vertical crack line above and finish direct.
Follows a natural line, good pro in breaks

βeta: Thanks for uploading the photos... clearly been done before. The BMC Stanage guide shows The Flange line going over overhanging crack and then follows slab and finishes leftwards. That's how I've done it before. The line up hanging corner (shown being soloed) and then vertical seam above, feels very different and worthwhile even if, as it seems, it's been done. Do it and see what you think.?

βeta: https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/stanage_popular-104/the_flange-10341#photos&gid=1&pid=3 Here is a photo of someone on the Flange but a tiny bit to the right. Sounds like climbing the flange but 8 inches to the right to me. Sadly not new and doesn't in any way meet the criteria for an independent route
