UKC

3 pitches. Coastal traverse from Lee bay to Woody Bay via Crock Point. Grade refers to the difficulty of the hardest climbs in perfect conditions (low tide, waves, dry condition etc - often it will be a few grades harder) and does not reflect the seriousness of coast traversing on Exmoor: in particular you must move with speed to traverse crucial sections before cut-off (at best) by the incoming tide.

1-3 pitches of Vdiff/HVD (tide height depending) lead to a slanting slab opposite the pyramidal island. From the corner at the bottom of the slab, you now need to descend to the gully.

At spring low tides this can be abseiled straight down, at higher tides it can be down-climbed at HS 4c. With a heavy rucksack, its possible to aid down the hard step by using a cam, and to free climb the rest. Other tactics exist.
