Rockfax Description
A good route with a technical second pitch.
1) 5c, 20m. Climb the worrying large flake to gain the ledge. Take the small corner to a heather ledge then move right to a belay at the base of a crack.
2) 6a, 30m. Follow the thin crack to a ledge. Trend up and left to gain the arete. Follow the arete to a tree belay on the left.
3) 5a, 12m. Jam up the crack behind the tree. © Rockfax

βeta: Got lowered down to clean the heather and bracken out of the crux crack after trying to onsight. Still couldn't do moves but possibly tired from onsight attempts. We also removed a lot of turf from the top of pitch one but this could also do with more TLC. Very surprised to find a two-star route at a popular quick drying road side crag in Ogwen to be in such a poor state. Maybe should have checked the logbooks but seemed unnecessary! It is a good hard route which is hopefully in a more onsight-able condition than we found it. | βeta? | |
