Follow the standard Via Cordata route approximately 300m until a wooden plank is reached. Shortly after this, a small sign indicates the junction for the route.
1) Instead of following the standard route right, follow the line of bolts straight up a slab section, then step out and around (metal steps) a large block. Awkwardly ascend block to a small exposed belay ledge at the base of an arete.
2) Ascend the arete directly for 15m (no metal steps here) before climbing onto a short steeper face with metal rungs. At the top of this, walk 10m to a belay on a large slab.
3) Just below the belay, traverse a ledge with a metal cable (abseil point for guide groups), continue along easier ground to rejoin the main route after 20m.
