βeta: If approaching directly up the spur from the top of the Hohsaas gondola to reach the glacier, dont go too high before traversing left. you will be faced with 40deg frozen mud/scree which is impossible to cross once the snow has gone. There are 2 fairly large cairns marking the start of the traverse, but as always they can be hard to see in the dark.

βeta: Note: the metal steps and rope at the lagginjoch are now well out of reach due to the receding glacier. A clear head Is required to lead the very loose section up to the right of the ladder (best not to fall)
