Rockfax Description
A well regarded pitch. Climb the right-facing slim corner direct to a ledge at mid-height. Continue up the left-hand crack to finish at a good tree belay. Take care with some sections of loose rock towards the top. © Rockfax

βeta: I stayed left as any step right seemed illogical. Felt tough but that could have been that it didn\'t get above 0 degrees all day. Lots of loose rock around, a big fridge sized block is rather worryingly hollow. Didn\'t climb with any panache but this is likely due to frozen toes and fingers. Would not climb again. | βeta?

βeta: This should really simply be called Shrike - I\'m pretty sure the direct route up the crack was the original line, and the deviation out right as described in the Lower Valley Guide no longer exists due to rockfall | βeta?

βeta: Quite a few wobbly holds throughout, ranging from small to death-block in size. Pay attention if you're belaying and test everything if you're climbing. | βeta?

βeta: There's some good fresh tat on the ab tree but loads n loads of very old stuff too, could do with cutting off and discarding if someone brings a knife up. | βeta?

βeta: There's a considerable amount of plant growth on the upper part of this route but it's all avoidable so still climbable at the same grade. | βeta?
