Diary: 6th January for 'Dexter JW'

 Outdoor climbing > Logbook
Bonehill Rocks - 4c Crack f4 *
10/10 of the 10 Tor’s, 10 km, 10 Thrutches Tour. Not a sensible solo. Resorted to a squirming, technique-less finish via headtorch, really wrapping up the day suitably. Challenge start around 9:00am, finished 6:30pm back at saddle tor CP. Not a sensible challenge following a bout of illness, but finished it. Rest day/week needed.

Chinkwell Tor - Widecombe Wall E2 5c **
8/10 of the 10 Tor’s, 10 km, 10 Thrutches Tour. Brought forward from number 9 as to complete in the light, very thankful to 'lose' the rock, paper scissors on this one giving the lead to Ed. Really good route, just a shame I was so battered, finished to sun set in freezing temps, belly flop finishing into Ed's crotch as per many of the days routes.

Greator Rocks - King Jam HVS 5b *
6/10 of the 10 Tor’s, 10 km, 10 Thrutches Tour. Back into the sun for a rogue 'nice' route? Unfortunately I was physically and mentally broken from the previous back to back sand bags and knowledge we where half way and would be finishing in the dark. Palms never felt so tender.

Haytor - Levitation Direct HVS 5b *
2/10 of the 10 Tor’s, 10 km, 10 Thrutches Tour. Cold and hard.

Haytor - Aramis VS 4c *
3/10 of the 10 Tor’s, 10 km, 10 Thrutches Tour. Sun and shelter from the wind welcome but short-lived as our journey continued back into the cold and wet.

Holwell Tor - Young, Ordinary and White HVS 5a
4/10 of the 10 Tor’s, 10 km, 10 Thrutches Tour. First lead of the challenge as determined by rock paper scissors. Absolute sandbag, sopping, moss and mud, aid approach after significant effort to finish. Hardest of the day for me. Glorious.

Honeybag Tor - Crackpot VS 4c
9/10 of the 10 Tor’s, 10 km, 10 Thrutches Tour. Finished just as we lost the light resorting to head torches for the walk to the final route, challenge end in sight. Pooped.

Hound Tor - Cantilever Direct HS 4b *
7/10 of the 10 Tor’s, 10 km, 10 Thrutches Tour. Possibly the easiest route on the list, made harder by Ed's various distractions on the top out.

Saddle Tor - Verdigris Cleft HVS 4c *
1/10 of the 10 Tor’s, 10 km, 10 Thrutches Tour. Rock, Paper, Scissored for each lead and came out extremely lucky all things considered... Cold, soggy, soily, sand bag, and a good thrutch - a good indicator of things to come.

Saddle Tor - The Funnel f3+ *
0/10 of the 10 Tor’s, 10 km, 10 Thrutches Tour. A bonus and unwelcome warm up.

Smallacombe Rocks - Dead Sheep Crack VS 4c
5/10 of the 10 Tor’s, 10 km, 10 Thrutches Tour. Another absolute battle. Fudged my monster cam placement on the initial go and had to remove to get past. Another sand bag.
