Two climbers seriously hurt in Snowdonia

Two people havebeen hurt in separate falls in Snowdonia. David Aitken, from London, fell 100m into a gully on Idwal Slabs and was only saved from death when his arm caught in a crack. He is described as "very poorly", and has been taken to Broadgreen Hospital in Liverpool.

On Bristley Ridge, Andrew McCluskey, an 18-year-old student from Hemel Hempstead, fell 65m from the path. His condition is described as critical.
