Godefroy Perroux killed

Godefroy Perroux died recently in a climbing accident near Chamonix. He was a well known guide who specialised in winter climbing and helped popularise ice climbing in the alps and further afield.

Nearer home he was a Nevis devotee, regularly visiting the Ben with clients and he probably knew the mountain as well as all but a handfull of Scots and was responsible for early repeats and new routes.
