American speed demon, Steve Schneider has soloed the three Towers of Paine in a single push. He began with the North Tower's Monzino Route (V 5.10), topping out in around 45 minutes. Then over to Central Tower, he blasted up the recently freed Bonington-Whillans (VI 5.11+ or 5.11 A1) in 7.5 hours before finishing with a 9.5 hour ascent of South Tower. The round trip from Camp Japanese was completed in a 51-hour marathon. This is probably the first single-push ascent of all three towers, according to Hans Florine of speedclimb.com.
