Hadrian's Wall in Falkirk closes down

Hadrian's Wall in Falkirk has shut up shop - because the landlord wants to turn it into shops. The facility might not have been Britain's finest but as Eddie McH points out on the thread linked below, it did have a 15m lead wall and (useful and, it's claimed, unique for Scotland) facilities for practising dry tooling.
Still, as the thread also shows, it did stir up a lot of feeling. And whatever you thought about it, one has to argue that it's always preferable to have more walls than fewer.
