Today, Saturday 14th July, was the day of the senior British Bouldering Championships. This year it was held at Grave's Park in Sheffield as part of the Cliffhanger outdoors event.

Despite Friday's rain threatening to ruin the competition the first day of Cliffhanger eventually turned out to be dry and sunny.

There were good crowds to watch the events and a record turnout of competitors - 22 senior females and 59 senior males.

The eventual winner in the senior female event was Katy Whittaker and in the senior males Gareth Parry.
