The Climbers Club have announced the publication of a new guidebook to the Lower Wye Valley, edited by John Willson. The Mountain Boot Company based in Newcastle who distribute Scarpa in the UK are holding a summit of their top climbers (including Andy Earl, Lucy Creamer, Dave Birkett, John Dunne, Dave MacLeod, and Malcolm Smith) and the Scarpa rock shoe design team, Heinz Mariacher and Simone Marcon, at the end of August. The aim is to hold a think tank on rock shoe design and get some climbing in on Northumberland's exquisite cliffs.
