The event was won by Kilian Fischhuber (AUT) for the men and Akiyo Noguchi (JPN) for the women. Kilian was the only competitor to climb all four final problems, taking first place for this event and also winning the World Cup overall. Akiyo also took the overall World Cup.
The event also saw some more impressive performances from the British team. Both Ned Feehally, the current Male British Bouldering Champion, and Diane Merrick made it through Friday's qualifying round to compete in the semi-finals on Saturday. Diane finished in 15th in the Women's event and Ned qualified for the Men's final on Saturday evening.
After an exciting final Ned finished in 6th place.
"It's great to see younger members of the Bouldering team starting to fulfil their potential on the international circuit." commented Nick Clement, team manager.
Other impressive performances came from Dave Barrans who finished 25th, Stew Watson 27th, Leah Crane 25th and Mina Leslie-Wujastyk 27th.
Nick Clement commented: "A number of other squad members also participated and gained valuable international competition experience."
