The Mountaineering Council of Scotland's annual fun climbing series for children between the ages of 8 and 17 starts on the 16th February 2013. There are 3 rounds in 2 regions of Scotland.

There are climbs and boulder problems to complete on the day's competition, and the emphasis is on having fun. However, the top 3 climbers in each age category (boys and girls) are selected as the Scottish Youth Team. These children will represent their Scottish Region in a British Grand Final against other regions from England, Wales and Ireland. This will be held at the EICA: Ratho near Edinburgh on the 15th June with the BMC.

Children aged 8-13 will top-rope their climbs, whilst the older children aged 14-17 will lead their climbs.

Dates and Venues are as follows.

Scotland North:
16th February – Inverness Leisure
2nd March – Transition Extreme, Aberdeen
16th March – The Ice Factor, Kinlochleven

Scotland South:
16th February The Peak, Stirling
2nd March Glasgow Climbing Centre
16th March The Pleasance, Edinburgh University.
