The weekend (26th and 27th of April 2014) saw the first round of the IFSC Boulder World Cup held in Chongqing, China. Team GB's Shauna Coxsey had a great start to the season placing 2nd.

Shauna Coxsey commented on her result:
"I am really pleased with my result in this first event, it was really fun and the setting was very creative. I can't wait for the next one in Baku!"
In the overall world ranking (based on results on a rolling 12 month basis), Shauna has maintained her position in 3rd, and I have dropped (temporarily I hope!) to 10th.
Shauna and I are currently in Baku, Azerbaijan for the next round of the World Cup.
