Megan Mascarenas, 18, has repeated The Riverbed, ~8B, at Magic Wood/Averstal, Switzerland. This was the second female ascent after Anna Stöhr who did it five years ago. It was Megan's first of the grade.

After the Boulderung World Cup in Munich, where she finished 3rd, she took the opportunity to sample some of Europe's real rock. She choose Magic wood in the Swiss Averstal, a popular summer bouldering destination. Seems to have been a good choice!

I'm not sure how much more time Megan's got, but there is an obvious lower start version to try, From shallow waters to riverbed, ~8B+...

Great effort. Mascarenas is obviously super talented but also a very interesting climber. Her performance in Vail was very impressive. Be interesting to see how she does over the next year. Wondering how many women have done font 8b now? Surely still a very select group: less than 10 perhaps?
