New 8C+ boulder established in Lofoten
Norweigan climber Thilo Schröter has established what is thought to be the hardest boulder in Norway, Tsunami, 8C+.
Thilo Schröter has repeated Daniel Woods' Spray of light, ~8C, at the Dihedral boulders in Rocklands, South Africa. This was Thilo's first of the grade.
Spray of light adds a second ~8B to Klem Loskot's classic Ray of light, which means you have to climb two ~8B's back to back. The problem was repeated by another strong Norwegian, Martin Mobraaten, recently, so second Norwegian ascent!
Two years ago, Thilo extended his Rocklands trip with the sole goal of doing this problem, only to see his skin rip badly on the first day of the extension. Now he finally got his revenge!
