The Cairngorm Mountain Ranger Service and Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team have both advised people to be aware of rockfall around the Goat Track side of Cairn Gorm's Coire an t-Sneachda.
The Ranger Service said a team in the coire had reported a near miss from rockfall coming from above the Goat Track.
"What came down narrowly missed the group & thankfully nobody was hurt. Looks like there may have been further rockfall in that area in previous days or weeks judging by the divots in the grass."
The comments were backed up by Cairngorm Mountain rescue team, who added:
"Great care and attention advised whilst crossing the Goat Track area below Fingers Ridge / Goat Track Gully."
"We would not advise attempting to make any ascents on this increasingly worrying part of the coire. If you are planning to visit that area, please be aware."
