The Climbing Works International Festival (CWIF) Semi Finals have just wrapped up and there have been a few surprises and upsets from the morning's action.
In the women's competition, British Champion Holly Toothill (GBR) topped the field with an impressive display, managing to top all four problems. She was closely followed by Brooke Raboutou (USA) and Molly Thompson-Smith (GBR). Brits Tara Hayes and Frances Bensley just missed out on qualification.

The men's featured a nail biting finish where two-time CWIF Champion and Olympic qualifier Alex Megos was pushed out of a finals place by Billy Ridal (GBR) on his final problem. Nathan Phillips dominated the group by topping all four problems. The other five finalists each topped three in the fiercely contested round. The men's final has a fairly international feel to it with three Brits alongside Yoshiyuki Ogata (JPN), Jan Hojer (GER) and Nathaniel Coleman (USA).
