Buster Martin has made the seventh ascent of Will Bosi's Furia de jabalí (9a+), at La Capella, Siurana, Spain.
The route is Buster's second at the grade, having climbed Chris Sharma's First Ley (9a+) in 2019.
Furia de Jabali consists of around twenty hard power endurance moves on small edges and shallow pockets, before it joins the 7c+/8a top half of Jungle speed (9a), a route first climbed by Daniel Jung in 2010.
Whilst the route was originally established at 9b, repeats from climbers such as Jakob Schubert and Adam Ondra have seen the grade settle at 9a+.
After making the ascent yesterday, Buster shared news of his ascent in an extended social media post:
In climbing Furia de Jabali, Buster becomes just the sixth British climber to have climbed multiple routes at 9a+.
