Chris Sharma makes first ascent of Black Pearl, 9a+ DWS
Chris Sharma has made the first ascent of Black Pearl, a 9a+ Deep Water Solo route, in Mallorca, Spain.

Chris Sharma climbed the route in 2001, after attempting the route over several trips. Since then, the best climbers in the world have flocked to the Ceuse to try the route, which still boasts a very elite membership.
