The route - a steep and physical limestone E8 at Hollow Caves Bay - is around F8a in terms of physical difficulty.
Hazel led the route - her first UK E8 - on Monday 2nd of May after a few days of effort which included a large fall.
Neil Mawson, who climbed the route a couple of weeks ago, said:
"[it's] well protected but really hard, probably F8a and not an easy one!"
Hazel has previously climbed several very hard routes in Canada and the USA including an ascent of the 5.13b/c (E7/8) crack of '69' on the Leviticus crag in Squamish.
E8 is currently the hardest UK grade climbed by a woman in the UK, and San Simeon is a very physical E8 involving steep F8a standard climbing whilst placing traditional gear.
