Dai opted for the left hand topout, first done, I think, by Micky Page, rather than than the original which finishes up to the right. In terms of difficulty the two variations are more or less the same.
If I understand his blog right, he was a little disappointed to do it as quickly as he did and that he expected more of a fight. To Dai it's an 8B into an 8A+ mantle.
