Pete Robins has recently added two hard new routes to the Little Orme on the North Wales coast. The routes are; Triton, 8b, on Craig y Don Upper and The Runner Bean, 8a+, at The Allotment - a crag above The Diamond.
Triton, 8b, was a steal from under everyone's noses as it is on a popular crag that is also non-tidal and catches a lot of sun, also being an obvious challenge. Pete commented on it further:
"The climb goes through the biggest part of the main roof with some burly pulls and technical footwork, then joins Doenitz (7a+) over the lip... Should become a classic."
The other new route Pete climbed, The Runner Bean, 8a+, is found at The Allotment, a largely forgotten crag above The Diamond. Pete bolted the route back in November but wasn't able to get on it until February due to the wet weather the UK experienced at the beginning of the year. Pete commented on the route;
"It impressively weaves through two big roofs with big exposure for a sport route. The top roof is really wild."
