Equip Outdoor Technologies UK Ltd specialise in the design and marketing of technical outdoor clothing and equipment. Our experienced and enthusiastic team develop innovative designs, manufactured to the highest standard and brought to market throughout the world. Equip Outdoor Technologies own and operate two leading aspirational outdoor brands Rab and Lowe Alpine.
One of the keys to our success is that retail staff have the knowledge and expertise to talk to customers with confidence about our brands, products and services and that our products are prominently displayed in stores. To continue this success, we are now looking for outdoor enthusiasts who understand our products and customers, have the ability and presentation skills to inspire retail staff with our brand message and values. You will also have a commercial understanding of the competitive outdoor retail environment and what it takes to make a brand successful within it.
As one of our field-based representatives you will travel extensively throughout the territory. You will be visiting key accounts where you will be responsible for the motivation and training of retail personnel. Your goal will be to promote the values of both of our brands and the technical specification of the products, as well as develop excellent lasting working relationships. You will also be required to attend events to help our customers connect with the brands on a personal level.
Post One (North): You will have easy access to the M1/A1 and be based in the West or South Yorkshire area
Post Two (South): You will have easy access to the M1 and be based in the Oxfordshire or Buckinghamshire area
You will be self-motivated, well organised, a great communicator and be comfortable in front of a camera. You may already be working in outdoor retail or elsewhere within the outdoor industry. The roles involve regular travel away from home to cover the large territory, as well as regular visits to the Equip head office in Alfreton. These roles also involve weekend work at trade shows, training courses and events both trade and consumer facing.
It is essential you have a current full driving licence and the right to work in the UK as both will be verified prior to appointment.
