The Climbing Lab is looking for an enthusiastic part time experienced route setter to work as part of the setting team in Leeds.  Setting on a weekly basis the successful candidate will work under the Route Setting Manager to create blocs of all styles across the grade range. The role will encompass all elements of route setting and maintenance of the routes within the centre, from hold washing to supporting the development and running of events and competitions. 

Additional shifts will be available working on reception and instructing with the potential for the role to develop into a full time salaried position. 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least 100 days setting experience
  • Confidently set and climb at font 7a
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Have a willingness to learn and take on feedback
  • Use their own initiative to work efficiently and safely

  • Hourly rate of pay £9 - £10.50 per hour
